Walking with Monty, we follow a path that winds gently alongside a calm body of water. Frost-laced reeds border one side, and grassy embankments and trees line the other. Scattered autumn leaves cling to the ground and branches, hinting at the shift from autumn’s rich hues to winter’s muted palette.
Our small dog, snug in a warm coat, darts joyfully along the trail before returning to us. Each step on the frosty path crinkles softly beneath our boots, showing that winter arrives gradually and beautifully.
